The 2,800-member Washington Area Frisbee Club (WAFC) is a non-profit, volunteer driven organization dedicated to promoting flying disc sports in the Washington D.C. Joining a WAFC League includes membership in the Washington Area Frisbee Club for the calendar year in which the league takes place. IMPORTANT: By joining a WAFC League, you agree to abide by all WAFC policies regarding field usage, player conduct, and other league rules. Cancellations will be announced through SMS text message to players. Since WAFC has no control over the weather, WAFC cannot guarantee all scheduled games will be played. No more than 2 people may baggage together. All efforts will be made to honor requests, please contact the commissioner with any requests for exemptions. A lottery system will be used to confirm remaining registrations if the total pending registrations exceeds the available spots for the league. Other players will be "waitlisted" until the pending registration deadline, when the list of pending registrations will be compared with the overall available space for the league. Women's-matchup players should register FIRST in order for men's-matchup baggage to be automatically accepted and bypass the registration caps. Women's-matchup players - and their baggage (if any) - will be automatically accepted into this league. The game format is Mixed 1-3-3 in accordance with WAFC's new Mixed Gender Ratio Policy for 7-vs-7 mixed events. The level of play tends to be competitive and the league is intended for experienced players. Night Owl League will take place on Wednesdays on a lit turf field.
